Shirley (Squirrel) Elendt

Shirley (Squirrel) passed away peacefully at home on Aug 11^th, 2023. Squirrel is survived by her son Eugene Fowler II and his wife Dana, her Daughter Kristie Quarles and her husband “Q”, 4 granddaughters Samantha, Taylor, Abby Jean, & Jeana, 3 Great Granddaughters Maddie, Layla & Emma, 4 Grandsons Stephen, Johnny III “Tre”, Jayden (her favorite) & Jordan, 1 Great Grandson Greysin, her mother Clara, 4 sisters, 1 brother and their families. She is predeceased by her father, 2 sisters & 2 brothers.

Squirrel loved the open roads as she was a Peterbilt cross country  truck driver. Our mother was a strong-stubborn, and loving women who was so proud of her grandchildren especially Jayden her favorite (wink). When it came to her grandchildren, she would give them the world if she could. She was the type of person that would never ask for help but would always be there if you needed her.  She loved angels and has now become our guardian angel.

Our mom will be missed and will forever remain in our hearts as she watches over us.

As she always told me, whenever you see a rainbow, know that’s me smiling down at you and always. Remember “Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.”
