Sandra K. “Katy” Sluss, 78, of Seminole, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at her residence. Mrs. Sluss was born in Flint, Michigan on March 31, 1946 to June Szarafinski (Scribner) and Harold Scribner. Sandra lived in the Flint area till she was united in marriage to Edward Sluss on December 18, 1965. Following their marriage, they lived in Virginia until 1972 when they moved to Seminole, Florida. While living in Virginia, Sandra was employed by the FBI. During her working life while living in Florida, Sandra was employed in the banking industry and later worked for an orthodontist. She enjoyed cooking for her family and doing cross stitch. Her favorite holiday during the year was Christmas where she loved to decorate for the season. She is survived by her husband, Edward; two children, Shawn Edward Sluss of Seminole & Chari Kay Fish and husband Mike of Jacksonville; grandsons, Tyler Sluss of Seminole & Michael Fish and wife Patricia of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Kyndal Sluss of Seminole and great-grandson, Hudson Fish of Jacksonville; brother, Harold M. Scribner and wife Jody of North Carolina, sister, Barbara M. Wilcox and husband Donald of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and June Scribner, her sisters, Nancy Jane Williams of North Carolina and Beverly Ann Mosciski of Michigan.
A private service will be held at her residence in Seminole following her request that she be cremated.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations are requested for the ASPCA http://secure.aspca.org , reflecting her love for animals.
