Sandra B. Lehman, 85, of Tampa, Florida passed away on November 11, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1938, in Rocky River, Ohio to Edward and Harriet Burden.
Sandra graduated from Rocky River High School being a member of the National Honor Society, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Kent State University. She was a member of Kappa Delta Phi. She retired after 25 years of being an elementary teacher in Ohio and moved to Florida with her husband, Richard Lehman, where she worked many different retail jobs. Sandra loved spending time with family and friends, being around people especially children, shopping, and playing games.
She was baptized in 2023 after joining Calvary Church in Clearwater after moving to Tampa to be closer to her daughter, Julie, and granddaughter, Miranda. Previously she attended Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda with husband of 36 years, Richard Lehman where they were very involved in various activities. Sandra was a member of American Business Women’s Association for many years, volunteered at Charlotte Regional Medical Center working in the gift shop, rang the bell for the Salvation Army during Christmas time, and played bridge.
Sandra is predeceased by her parents, sister Sue Du Charme (DeVille), brother Richard Burden, son Jeffrey Watters, and husband Richard Lehman. She is survived by children: Catherine Lehman, Patricia (Thomas Lee) Lehman, Julie Sierra and Richard E. (Rhonda) Lehman II; six grandchildren: Brit (Mike) Roberts, Christopher (Betsy) Droege, Michaela (Troy) Hibbard, Tyler (Tiffany) Luchka, Miranda Sierra, and Monica (Dave) Collett; six great grandchildren: Maxwell and Sophie Roberts, Ava and Martin Droege, and Carter and Chloe Collett.
Services will be held via Zoom at a later date.
