Robert Edward “Bob” Duckro, age 80, passed away on July 6, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Dayton, Ohio in 1943, Bob was the son of Raymond Edward “Bud” and Mary Jane “Jane” Duckro. He graduated from Chaminade Catholic High School (1961), served in the National Guard and worked for NCR before moving to St. Petersburg in 1971. For over 50 years he lived in Pinellas County and previously worked for Smith Industries, LLC and Sensor Systems, Inc.

Bob’s greatest joys in life were his wife of 45 years Kathy, family, friends, listening to The Eagles and Queen, playing golf, and watching sports, especially football and baseball, along with enjoying a Southern Comfort Manhattan cocktail.

Despite facing many health challenges, Bob persevered and kept a smile on his face, offering a warm handshake to everyone he met. He cherished time with his family and leaves a legacy of love and laughter for all those who knew him.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Jane and his brother Richard Eugene “Rick” Duckro of Phoenix, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Duckro, his daughters Melissa Pollock, Jillian (Ryan) Nicolini and Stephanie (Michael) Kruse and grandchildren Lily and Grayson Kruse, sister-in-law Kerry Duckro and nephews Dan Duckro and Nicholas Duckro, and brother-in-law John P Pasteris.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 16, 2024. To honor Robert, the family requests donations to Seasons Hospice Foundation, 8537 Solution Center, Chicago, IL 60677 or online at SeasonsHospiceFoundations.org/donate/, in lieu of flowers.
