Robert J. Dasch, Sr., aged 85, passed away at home on July 12, 2024. Born in Rochester, New York, Robert graduated from Aquinas Institute before attending Niagara University. His career was marked by service in various capacities. In Rochester, Bob worked as a manager for the Gates Chili Central Schools’ Transportation Department and later drove Bus for Empire Trailways. After moving to Florida, he continued his career in transportation with Martz Bus Trailways, where he rose to the position of Safety Director.

A devout Catholic, Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park, where he actively participated in the community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his daily actions and commitments. In addition to his career and religious activities, Robert was an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree Knight), contributing to various charitable activities and community service initiatives. He was an avid sports lover. While living in Florida, he became a Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning fan and could often be found watching their games while openly critiquing their performance.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Dasch; his son, David (Daryl) Dasch; his daughter, Laurie (Jon) DelVecchio, daughter-in-law, Marianne Dasch; Stephanie’s son David (Sara) Eisenbart; sisters, Dorothy (Bernard) Fischer and Mary Ann Springer; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Ann Dasch, and his sons, Kevin Dasch and Robert J. Dasch, Jr.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at  10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7809 46th Way North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781.

Sincere sympathies to Stephanie and the family! We have lost a genuinely good, faith-filled man. Every time we pray the rosary before the morning Mass , the first decade will be dedicated to you, Bob , because the first decade was always prayed by you. Rest in peace my kind a faithful friend.
