Richard R. Bielawski

Richard R. Bielawski, 76, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on February 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Barbara Bielawski (Lettelleir), sister Shirley Ahlgrim (Robert), daughters Dawn Bielawski and Tammy Lynn Popchock (Steve), sister-in-law Randee Rhodes, and his only grandchild Alexander Bielawski. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Julia Bielawski.

Richard, born in Hamtramck, MI, met his wife of 56 years while stationed at MacDill Airforce Base. A decorated US Air Force, Sgt, he served in the Vietnam War.

Richard was a selfless man and loved his family unconditionally. A talented handyman, he could fix anything he put his mind to and loved to build things for his family.

A Military Honors ceremony will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Americana Cove Atrium, date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Richard’s memory to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
