September 19, 1960~August 15, 2024

Patrick Bryant Thurston, 63, of Tampa, FL passed away on August 15, 2024, at home, surrounded by family.

A native of Tampa, growing up Patrick enjoyed going to Nature’s Classroom in Thonotosassa, and loved being in the kitchen with his mom, especially when they would bake Toll House cookies.  After serving in the Air Force, he graduated from electronics technical school and worked for 33 years, in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, as an electronics repair technician.

A devout Christian, Patrick had a servant’s heart, always willing to help others no matter the time or day.  In 1989 he joined the Faith Outreach Center where his faith continued to grow and where he met his covenant brothers, who quickly became forever brothers.

Patrick cherished spending time with family and friends, his prayer time with the Lord, and being married to the most wonderful wife in the world, Patricia, his most unforgettable experience.  It was with his wife that he had his other two most unforgettable experiences; visiting The Ark Encounter in Kentucky and taking a much-anticipated trip to Israel.

Patrick was a fan of arena football and always rooted for his favorite team, The Tampa Bay Storm.  He held season tickets for several years and loved taking others to the games with him.  His other love was traveling with his wife.  They took many trips over the years to several beautiful places.

He is survived by his wife Patrica Jean Thurston, brother Warren Danford Jr. and his sister Gayle Burrell.

Patrick is pre-deceased by his mother Carmen Hammond, father Gordon Thurston and sister Kathleen Ann Thurston.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 10:00am at Keystone Bible Church 10925 Tarpon Springs Rd., Odessa, FL 33556.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Patrick’s memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societyhttps://www.lls.org/

Patrick was one of the first persons l met when l came to Faith Outreach Center Church some 6 or so years ago. His smile was genuine and kind. He was known as a prankster and loved to make others laugh. I was blessed to have met his soon to be wife Patty in the years to come. A couple who truly loved the Lord and while l am sad he has transitioned from earth to glory. I am happy he rest in the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. “2 Corinthians 5:8. “
