Nancy Herring (Cozzi) of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away at St. Anthony’s
Hospital on the morning of December 12th, 2022. She is survived by her partner
Robert (Bob) Herring and their two daughters; Jennifer Lynds (her husband Randy Lynds) and Kristy Knight, and their five grandchildren; Jessica, Sarah, Emily, Brooke and Nicholas. She is predeceased by their son, Timothy Herring.
Nancy was born in Scio, a very small town in Allegany County, New York where
she spent the first 8 years of her life on a farm. Her parents, Earl and Betty,
moved the family to St. Petersburg, FL, where Earl co-owned and
operated Jack Frost’s Donuts.
Nancy was a stay-at-home-mom while her children grew up. She decided to go back to
school later on to become a respiratory therapist. She enjoyed traveling and teaching
other students to become respiratory therapists.
Nancy was known as a great cook and baker. She was oftentimes baking cakes, cookies
or pies for family and friends. Her family will miss her and her feisty personality
that brought them many funny and memorable moments.
