Maria Lopez

Maria Lopez

July 12, 1951~October 25, 2024

Maria Lopez 73 of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2024.  She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

She fell in love with her husband to be Wildredo Lopez, whom she was married to for 24 years. She had a heart of gold and was a true queen.

At a young age Maria was very protective of her children and always wanting them to learn about school and be a family, us children cherished that special quality about her, friendship, kindness, generosity, love, honesty and loyalty.

She made everybody feel like they were a part of the family, even if they were one of our friends or somebody she just met.

She enjoyed all of Marc Anthony’s songs, baking, cheering on the New York Met’s and watching Spanish novella on TV.

After her husband died the strength, she had to take care of the kids and grandkids with always a smile never showing how she hurt inside. Her accomplishments made a mark on all our lives.

Maria’s superpower was to make everyone feel that everything was going to be all right.
One of mom’s favorite quotes was “You Raise Crows they will poke out your eyes”.

She never said goodbye instead she would say “See you later alligator!”

She will be loved and missed by all.

I want to give my condolences to the Lopez Family. As my ex mother in law, Maria is one of the stronger woman I know. She did nothing but to care for her kids and grandkids. I am grateful for the time my daughter’s (her grandkids) got to spend with her, and the memories they created. Rest in Haven, Maria. We all love you.
