June Abraham

September 15, 1937~January 04, 2023

June Ann Abraham, passed away January 4, 2023, in the love and comfort of her home after a short battle with cancer. June was the loving mother of Susan, Bobbi, Michael (Barb), Tom (Angie) and Chuck (Teresa). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. June was born in Huntington, West Virginia on September 15, 1937, and moved with her mother, Lorena Thorpe, to Canton, Ohio during her childhood. June graduated from Timken High School. Later in life, at age 65, she graduated from Stark Tech in food preparation.

June loved her family deeply and worked hard to provide for them, first as a waitress and later as a cook for St. Michael’s Church. She was a woman of great faith. While she faced many difficulties throughout her life, she fearlessly loved the Lord.

She faithfully volunteered in her church and in the hospice program. She loved cooking, sunsets, Saturday night gatherings with the “hens” (her friends), travelling, music, movies, museums, and Busch Gardens.

She was loyal, kind, thoughtful, and very generous. She was loved by all who knew her.

There will be a funeral mass in Canton, Ohio (date to be determined). Her burial will be in Canton following the funeral mass. More details will be upcoming.
