Irene Kuzio, “Renee” 89, of Pinellas Park, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in Ambridge, Beaver county, Pennsylvania, June 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kirpan) Sudik. Renee, a graduate from Ambridge High School, married in 1958 and moved to New Cumberland, West Virginia where she and her husband Steve raised their family. Initially a stay at home mom, Renee, once the children were of age, returned to the work force as a legal secretary at a local law firm where she worked until retirement in 1994. Renee was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. (Steve) Kuzio. A marriage of nearly 60 years until his passing in 2018. Renee, the youngest sibling of her family, was also preceded by her seven sisters, Eva Sudik, Pearl Ruey, Anne Cohen, Mary Daniluck, Olga Lancy, Helen Bowan and Lillian Watach; and three brothers, Andrew, Michael, and William Sudik. Renee is survived by her four children, twin daughters, Carol Kuzio and Barbara Dodson both of New Port Richey, FL, Stephen Kuzio and wife, Pattie of Clearwater, FL, and Robert Kuzio and wife, Missy of Hudson, FL; five grandchildren, Christopher Dodson, Michael Dodson, Jessica Kuzio, Stephen Kuzio, and Cheyenne Kuzio. Upon Renee’s retirement, she fulfilled the dream of she and her husband, and moved to Florida in 1994. Warm weather, the sun, and the beach awaited their adventures. Renee, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, loved attending and always sitting near the choir. Quite the sports enthusiast, she was passionate about the Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, the beach, playing bingo, computer gaming, shopping and relaxing with family and friends. Friends are invited to visit with the family 3-7 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Taylor Family Funeral Home, Pinellas Park, FL. A service will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, 11:30 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pinellas Park, FL. A private burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
