Dr. Emil Katz (born 5.1.1950 in St. Petersburg/Leningrad, USSR) passed away on 4.6.2024. Emil emigrated from Latvia in 1979 and lived in Chicago, Illinois, before relocating to Pinellas County, FL, notably in Largo, Seminole, and St. Petersburg. He will be deeply missed by his community, his family, and his many friends.

I remember the day that Doc strolled into our Jammers group and started playing the keyboard. He joined and definitely kept things lively.
As a retired nurse, Doc and I forged a great friendship based on our mutual respect for our chosen vocations and our love for music.
I offer my deepest condolences to Lana, his family and friends.
Life won’t be the same without Doc, but I was blessed to have him in mine if only for a little while.

Doc will be missed for sure every Thursday when the CC Jammers gather together for 4 hours of camaraderie and fun. Will miss his talented fingers on the keyboard, but especially the chats we shared with each other. Was blessed to know you dear friend.
