David W. Smith

David W. Smith, 70, of Pinellas Park, FL passed away on December 12, 2023.

He was born in Clearwater and raised in Largo. He graduated from Largo High School and belonged to the Letterman’s Club. A lover of baseball, traveling, fishing, sports, and his family. He attended PVTI for drafting and cabinetmaking and Ozark Community College, where he achieved honors and a degree in manufacturing. He worked as a galley assistant at the American Seafood Company of Seattle, WA. He was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Clearwater and an active member of Cornerstone Church in Springfield, Missouri. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Robinson; daughter, Tonya Tate (Tim), six grandchildren, Isabel, Iden, Ian, Ivy, Isla, Israel; sisters, Marjorie Krieter (Chris), Judy Pursifull (David), Jennifer Sandberg; brothers, Richard Smith (Sharon), Steve Smith, and his beloved cat, Old Lady.

David was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Smith; stepfather, Roey Robinson; former wife, Deborah Kay; and brother, Marvin Smith.
