Cynthia Louise Wilson (née Leiter), 63, passed away Thursday, April 6th, 2023 at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, FL, after a long battle with cancer. Her two daughters and granddaughter sat by her side as the Lord called her home.
Cynthia is survived, and dearly missed by her mother Johanna Leiter, her daughters Tiffany Wilson and Jessica Wilson, her grandchildren Rory Stringham and Calliope Stringham, her siblings James Leiter, Eric Leiter, Mark Leiter, and Ann-Marie Ross, and her ex-husband Kelvin Wilson. She is predeceased by her father Anton Leiter.
As a career civil servant, Cynthia took pride in serving her community as an aide in the commissioner’s office for the City of Orlando. She oversaw countless community outreach projects and was a powerful voice for the people in her neighborhood and district.
Cynthia spent her final years quilting, gardening, and sewing. While she may be gone, her loved ones will cherish the beauty she left behind in her quilts and flower garden.
A memorial gathering will take place Sunday, April 16th at 10am, at Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, FL.
