Clifford Aaron Mayfield

April 30, 1968~July 04, 2023

Clifford Aaron Mayfield of Seminole, Fl passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a 21-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1986, he served in the United States Army after he graduated high school. After his military career he had various sales positions including real estate.  He had a love for great cuisine but any who knew him would recall his three favorites as steak, lobster and crab legs. His favorite furry friends were felines. Pierre, Fat Cat, Abby, Rain and Loki were among his purrfect companions, and he dreamed someday to own a cat sanctuary or rescue. He was blessed to be well traveled but his favorite destination was always Las Vegas.

He was a very passionate sports fan for baseball and football with his favorites being of course the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and the Tampa Bay Rays.  He loved his friends dearly but longed for a family of his own and in the end he found that with Amy, Christian & Dalton.  He had a generous spirit and lived simply because making memories were more important than material things.

He will always be remembered for the way he used his humor to make people happy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Mayfield Sr and Mary Mayfield and a brother Phillip Mayfield.

His survivors include his partner of 8 years Amy Sciriha and her 2 sons Christian and Dalton Sciriha, his sisters Kathy Miller and Lisa Ely, his three brothers Walter Mayfield Jr, Mark Mayfield and John Mayfield. His survivors also include 8 nieces and nephews.

Cliff personally asked in lieu of flowers any donations be made to Help Humane in Belton, Mo where he adopted his dear Abby.  helphumane.org

How beautifully worded, Amy. I think that Cliff would be pleased. Although I never met Cliff, I know he was a terrific partner from you he loved you, you shined. I am also happy that he was there for your boys as a role model and that he was surrounded by love, fireworks on 4th of July.

Deepest sympathy for your loved ones. Amy you are amazing, strong and beautiful. Thank you for caring for our friend. Cliff, For so long, too long, I would scroll your Facebook, looking for an update, hoping for good news. I never found it, obviously. What I find is an amazing, strong man, fighting for his life. Your heart is golden and I will always be thankful we reconnected from high school. I will never forget you. Rest in peace and one day, I’ll see you again! Your friend, Tina Brooks
