Christine H. Andersen

May 10, 1956~June 16, 2024

With deep sadness yet fond remembrance of her vibrant spirit, we announce the passing of Christine (“Chris”) H. Andersen (Greek), who departed on June 16, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on May 10, 1956, in Johnson City, New York.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 25 years, William (“Bill”) Andersen; her children, Danny and Lisa Todack, Roger (Jess), and Crystal Moorhead; her grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her friend and cousin Tricia (Ed); and cousins Michael and Robert Fidurski.

Christine cherished her role as grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a special affection for animals, loved the color purple, orchids, and making people laugh.

She enjoyed playing games at the American Legion Post 14 (frequenting 158) and VFW Post 6827, where she was an associate member of both; Christine was known for her spirited response of punctuating moments of loss with her trademark exclamation, “Damn it!”

Christine had diverse musical tastes, from the melodies of Boy George, Elvis, and Cher to timeless classics like “Brown Eyed Girl” and Cyndi Lauper’s anthem “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” In her younger days, she loved traveling and riding her motorcycle.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Helen Greek, her dear Aunt Theresa, Uncle Teddy, and Aunt Freda Fidurski. She is now reunited with her beloved grandmother, Regina “Bobchie” Fidurski, and is also joined in heaven by her grandchild Trent and great-grandchild Mason.

Let us celebrate Christine’s memory by honoring a life well-lived, marked by laughter, music, and the warmth she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg, FL, in Christine’s name. https://petpalanimalshelter.com/donate
