Charles Thomas “Charlie” Rohlfs passed away on February 18th, 2024 at 26 years old.

He was 11 years old when his dad passed away, and was never really the same after.

As a small child he was a very happy-go-lucky kid, always smiling and always acted thrilled to see you.  He loved his family and had a really good sense of humor, always joking around.

But most of all Charlie was a very loyal friend to have.  He was always helping people.   He’d sneak his friends into the house to feed them, or just let them rest.  This didn’t happen just a few times, it was an everyday thing.   I never knew who I’d find sleeping in my house or whether I had any groceries left.  I would pull up in my driveway and kids would scatter.  This would just drive me insane, but looking back on it now, I wouldn’t have it any other way.   Charlie would go to great lengths to help a friend in need, a lot like his dad.

He really had no desire to learn to drive, but loved to ride his bike and explore the county.  He had a gift for finding peaceful spots to enjoy and would send me pictures of sunsets or a quiet lake.

Charlie loved to research things, especially military memorabilia that he would come across.  He was aways learning something new, and loved a good conspiracy theory too, often coming to me laughing and shaking his head saying, “Mom, I think I’m on a watch list.”

He also loved taking things apart; phones, tablets, and laptops, and putting them back together.  He especially enjoyed tinkering on bicycles. Charlie always had to keep his mind busy.

He is survived by his younger brother James, and his mother, Lisa.

Charlie was so loved, and will be dearly missed.
