Charles Bennett Blume, at the age of 94, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2022. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Girard Blume, Sr, and Mary Thelma Bennett; siblings, Edward Girard Blume, Jr., William Ryan Blume, Julian Christian Blume, and Cordelia Blume Phillips King; his first wife, Shirley Faye Wriston; and second, Shirley Lois Tracewell. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Anne Kready (Robert); grandsons, Kristopher Ryan (Kimberly), Todd Andrew, Jonathan Allen (Stefante); great granddaughters, Magnolia Leigh, Madelyn Mae, Alexandra Grace; his daughter by marriage, Jennifer Lynn Hylton (Neil), and children, Kenner, Shelby, and Sarah. He served in WWII in the U.S. Navy and was fondly known as “Dip” to his Fayetteville, WV classmates; he was part of the 1947 graduating class. Sharp dressed man was always exemplified by Charles. He was a West Virginia mountaineer through and through, and his wardrobe reflected just that. Always willing to help, he was loved by all he met. A celebration of life will be held at Maximo Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg on April 15, 2022, at 10 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Maximo Presbyterian Church 3200 58th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Fl 33712.
