Cecile M. (Martin) Cyr, 84, of Gardner, MA. and Pinellas Park, died peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Hospice Woodside Care Center, after an illness. 

Born in Riviere-Verte, New Brunswick, Canada, on June 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Therrien) Martin. Cecile was a computer operator employed by Digital Equipment Manufacturing of Westminster for 27 years before her retirement in 1998. 

Cecile was a parishioner of the Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Pinellas Park. She was an avid bowler, card player, and line dancer. Cecile loved to take walks, cook, and shop. She also loved to keep her home meticulously clean. Cecile and her husband were snowbirds in Florida for 26 years, where she enjoyed playing shuffleboard. She was a proud cancer survivor. Cecile’s greatest joy was her family, treasuring all the special moments together. 

Cecile is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Cyr of Gardner and Pinellas Park, FL; a daughter, Lisa D. Arseneau and her husband Rejean of Templeton; two sons, Yves J. Cyr and his wife Robin of Apex, NC, and Carl J. Cyr and his significant other Janet Johnston of S. Weymouth; two grandchildren, Marissa Berry and her husband Taylor of Deerfield, NH and Shelby Duhamel and her husband Cullen of Rutland; a great-granddaughter, Avery Berry of Deerfield, NH; three sisters, Gaetane Montreuil of St. Basil, NB, Canada, Georgette Cyr of Gardner and Diane Martin and her husband Gerald of Edmonston, NB, Canada; several nieces, nephews and beloved friends. 

Funeral Services are currently incomplete and will be announced at a later date.
