Betty Louise Malcomson Hall, 83, formerly of Niles, Ohio, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on April 20, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Samuel and Mary (Shanefelt) Malcomson. After marrying her late husband, Wayford “Skip” Hall, she made St. Petersburg, Florida, her home for many years.

Betty dedicated a significant part of her life to caring for others. For numerous years, she worked at Jacaranda Nursing Facility, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Her commitment and unwavering dedication to her profession touched the lives of many, as she selflessly performed acts of kindness. Betty retired from Jacaranda Nursing Facility in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of love and care.

Throughout her life, Betty experienced the heartache of losing loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary Malcomson, her beloved husband, Wayford “Skip” Hall, her daughter Betty “Prissy” Six, and her granddaughter Jessica Six. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Samuel, Thomas, David, Charlie, & James; and her sisters: Mary Jane, Mildred “Dolly, “ and Ruth. The memories of those who have passed before her will forever be cherished.

Betty leaves behind a profound legacy of love and devotion. She will be dearly missed by her four sons: Kenneth and Randy (Gwen) Poling, Doug (Kristen) Foster, and Brian (Misty) Hall. She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Stephanie, Randy, Mark, Charlene, Cassandra, Chelsea, Hailee, Douglas, and Tyson. Additionally, Betty is survived by her sister, Naomi Foster of Warren, Ohio. Their sisterly connection was a source of strength and support throughout their lives, bringing them comfort and joy in both good times and bad. Betty is also survived by her niece, Christine Lynn Breedlove of St. Petersburg, who held a special place in her heart. Coming from such a large family, Betty also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Betty Louise Malcomson Hall will be remembered as a strong-willed woman who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her unwavering love will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. While we mourn her passing, her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the lasting impact she made on her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida, at a later date, allowing loved ones to gather and honor Betty’s remarkable journey.
