Lucy G. Battipaglia ,passed away May 18th…At 97, this tiny Italian woman could throw a verbal punch like no other. How do you describe Lucy…spicy, fully of spunk, sassy and…generous, caring and a heart full of gold. It is not how she died, but how she lived. Born in Manhattan, NY, Lucy enjoyed a life well-lived and left a legacy of fun, laughter and, less we forget, her eggplant parmesan that she loved to make for anyone who knew her. A professional seamstress, Lucy was creative, the life of the party and, was always ready to go out. All you had to say was “do you want to go…” and, it didn’t matter where…she was out the door. The special people in her life were: her niece Marie Izzo. Predeceased by her parents, Maria and Daniel Labbiento, her husband Augustine Battipaglia, her sister Rachel Izzo (Deacon Louis Izzo), her brother Thomas Labbiento and, her nephew Louis Izzo, Jr. A special thank you to Lexi and April who always went above and beyond to take care of her at the Nursing Home.

To live in the hearts left behind is not to die for the void we are feeling is filled with beautiful memories. Rest dear Lioness…you have earned it…fly with angels.
