Karen Dilley Sims was born on September 22nd, 1950 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She is predeceased by her loving parents Ruth Sims and Donald Sims. Karen passed away suddenly at St. Anthony’s Hospital on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022.
Karen spent time in El Paso, Texas and Boston before relocating to Florida in 1984. Her true passion was helping anyone in need, especially children and animals. She spent most of her time working as a vet technician, a swim instructor, and Juvenile Detention Center Officer. Throughout her lifetime, Karen, took in a number of youth and animals and loved each and everyone of them as her own. She spent a lot of her time caring for her fur babies, Meeko, Pocahontas, Chomper, Ditto and Jingle, in addition to chasing after and helping raise her grand daughters and great grandsons. Karen was a pistol with a fierce attitude who enjoyed living life and traveling, especially with her grandchildren and great grandsons.

Karen and her brother Bruce are both ‘quick to smile’ and have warm welcoming hearts. We figure it must be due to their loving upbringing. So sad to see that Karen left us, but she leaves this earthly world with a little more love and kindness! Pass it on!
