In Loving Memory of Robert W. Anderson, Sr.
Bob, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran and computer pioneer, passed away peacefully at the age of 87.
Born in 1937 in Massachusetts, he answered the call to service early in life, enlisting in the U.S. Army at the age of 17. His disciplined nature and sharp intellect led him to a lifelong career in programming and engineering, where he became a brilliant and respected contributor to the U.S. Space Program. His work helped advance the frontiers of exploration, leaving a lasting impact that will reach well beyond his time.
A loving family man, who is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol, who stood beside him through every chapter of his life. He was the proud father of four sons, and a cherished father-in-law to their spouses. His legacy lives on in his five beloved grandchildren and his great-grandson, who brought him great joy and pride.
He will be remembered not just for his professional achievements, but also for his sharp wit, unwavering loyalty, enduring faith, and his deep love for his family.
A private service will be held in accordance with his wishes.
As a lifelong lover of animals, in lieu of flowers, his family kindly asks donations to be made to the SPCA Tampa Bay in Largo, Florida. https://spcatampabay.org/donate/
He will be deeply missed, remembered, and forever loved.

Dear Anderson family I am truly sorry for your loss as well as I was truly blessed by meeting your dad. I was one of his caregivers for a little bit of time and I’m also from Massachusetts so we had a lot in common we had a lot of laughs I used to do a little dance moves for him and had a great sense of humor. We both loved our sports didn’t even know we live in Florida now we still were true fans of our hometown sports. He will truly be missed by me as well as I as his family and my prayers go out to all of you and God bless you all

Bob was a very kind and caring person and a man of faith. He and Carol were a wonderful couple and wonderful neighbors. That’s a beautiful picture of Bob holding his dog. He loved his dogs. So sorry for your loss ❤️
