Betty Simon, 84, of Springwood II, Pinellas Park, died on December 24, 2025, at home with
her family surrounding her. She was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank and Thelma
(Kvammen) Bell and moved to the St. Pete area in 1970.
She worked as Bakery Manager at Albertsons Grocery in Seminole, Fl. She was also known for her baking, bingo and party
planning skills (and her famous sloppy joes!).
She loved travelling, playing games with friends and family, swimming and chair volleyball
with her neighborhood friends.
She was a lover of music (especially John Phillip Sousa), supporting the Northside
Christian marching band and the Crossmen Drum & Bugle corps.
She is survived by her children Jill, Peter (Melanie), and Paul (Marisa), sister Kathleen Dobias, sister-in-law Jacqueline (Simon) Swan, four beautiful grandchildren and many
cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard
Simon, her parents, and her brother, Frank Bell.
