Paul Osborne McKay, 66, of Pinellas Park, Florida died unexpectedly at his home Sunday, the 8th of December. He was the youngest of six children to the late Reverend Eli Osborne McKay and the late Genevieve Agnew McKay of Vero Beach.
Paul was preceded in death by beloved brother Peter McKay and sister Nancy Beasley.
He is survived by sisters Bonnie Denman of Marietta, GA and Ann Burton of Fowler’s Bluff, FL and brother David McKay of Creedmoor, NC. Also grieving his passing is longtime best friend Robert Schneider of Pinellas Park, FL.
Paul had worked for Disney World and just retired from Canon USA. He was an accomplished musician and composer, mastering percussion and keyboard instruments, especially keen on progressive rock n’ roll music.
Paul was a gentle, affable and intelligent Christian soul who made friends easily and faithfully kept in touch. He was a lover of all things of the natural world, botanical and zoological and had a wonderful, sophisticated sense of humor.
He will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2024, at King of Peace Church, 6085 Park Blvd, Pinellas Park, FL 33781.
