Virginia Carman

Our beloved, Virginia Louise (Oliver) Carman, 86, residing in St. Petersburg, FL., entered into eternal rest at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL. on Monday, June 21, 2021, after suffering kidney failure.  She was born on December 31, 1934, to Lester and Minnie Lee (Wright) Oliver in Howevalley, KY.  She was a graduate of Howevalley High School, Class of 1952 and married that same year, moving to High Plains in Big Spring, KY.  She also worked for several years for the Hardin County School System as a “Lunch Lady”.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Carman, and later, her companion, Frank Berlanga.  She is survived by her own daughter, Christy Lynn (Ron) Rush, Pinellas Park, and the daughter she loved as her own, Sandra Lynne Calloway (Mike) Jeffiers, St. Petersburg; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Haley, Nathan, Emily, Joshua and Chasity; step-grandchildren Brandi, Elizabeth, Crystal and Bridgette and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her sister, Iona Hicks, Hardinsburg, KY. as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a dear friend, Linda Gilliland. Louise was known as a very caring and supportive person to everyone she knew. Rather you knew her by Mamma, Weezie, Lucy, Grammy or Aunt Louise, she loved you all unconditionally. Cremation services are under the direction of Taylor Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Pinellas Park, FL.

Her Services will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021, with Visitation beginning at 11:00am (EDT) at Big Spring United Methodist Church, 6341 Big Spring Road, Vine Grove (Big Spring), KY. with a service officiated by Reverend Alisa Carman at 2:00PM (EDT).  A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.  Please feel free to dress casually, Momma would want it that way.

I am so sorry for your loss. If I had known I would have been there. She was a wonderful lady.
