Susan Johnson, 85, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 2, 2021. Susan loved her 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. She was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in Brooklyn, she spent most of her adult years in St. Petersburg. Susan worked with the State of Florida in Vocational Rehabilitation for more than 20 years, and retired in 1999. Susan was skilled in solving crossword puzzles and did so every morning with a cup of coffee and a cigarette (or two). She most enjoyed hosting family and friends around her dining room table. Susan was known for tending to and caring for others; always putting others first before herself. In recent years, Susan was cared for at home by her family, as she suffered from Dementia and Alzheimers. During her final days, her care provider and “best friend” was Tequila Wilson.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg on Tuesday May 11, 2021 followed by a Memorial Service at Taylor Family Funeral Home, Pinellas Park, 12:00 p.m.
