Ruby Faith Horrevoets born December 28th, 1955 to her surviving mother Ruth Stebleton. To her daughters and countless others, she was known as Mom. We 6 grandkids knew her as Nana. Nana had 3 older sisters and an older brother, Nana was the baby. She bitter-sweetly joined 2 of her sisters, Linda Desaulniers and Audrey Walker, in heaven on Monday, May 14th, 2018. She is survived by her oldest sister Anna Gilliam and older brother Johnny Miller. Nana is also survived by her loving husband and best friend of 30 years, Kurt Killenberger, our PopPop. Their love was rooted in friendship and their laughter radiated through their lives and the lives of everyone that they knew (usually in the midst of a semi-inappropriate joke or a “Ruby-Salute”). Nana lived a full and happy life where she found peace in her butterfly garden and spent her time vigilantly saving the cat species, one stray at a time. Nana had a way with making sure everyone knew what they “needed” to do. She was heavily involved in the community; we spent countless hours helping her craft up many signs and luminary bags for the annual Pinellas Park Relay for Life Cancer walk where over the years they raised more than $90,000. Nana volunteered with this charity for over 15 years, starting with the team People Helping People before starting her own team; always dedicating what resources she could to advocating and raising funds for cancer research. She was the first House Mom in Pinellas County where she touched the lives of many people at Diamond Dolls, Bliss Cabaret and Oz, all who called her Mom. Our Nana was a friend to many and loved by all whose lives she impacted. She will be missed dearly by her surviving family members. Daughters: Holly Keene (Tom), Carmen Harbuck and Shantel Scott (Calvin). Granddaughters: Karissa Harbuck, Alixandria Preston and Kirstie Harbuck. Grandsons: Knolen Harbuck, Kestler Harbuck and Adrian Hilliard. Along with many other close and distant relatives.
