Mike Beecher

It is with heavy hearts that we give notice of the sudden death of Michael Beecher on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home in Tarpon Springs, FL. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Mike was born on August 28, 1958 in Lima, Ohio to Richard and Jane Beecher. He attended St. Gerard’s Catholic School from Kindergarten to 8th grade and graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1976. He then joined the Army at age 17 and served until 1981 in the 101st Airborne Division as a helicopter mechanic while stationed in Korea.

Mike was a great provider for his family throughout his sales career and he worked long hours while mentoring anyone who asked him for help. At his time of death he worked at Creative Sign Designs and Lowes. He never complained and even though he worked seven days a week, he never missed Mass. He was a devoted Catholic and lived his life in service of the Lord. He always had a smile on his face and he never had a bad word to say about anyone. He loved to play golf, make hot sauce and make people laugh.

Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years Elaine, children Cody Beecher, Ashley (Neil) Merrick , Luke Beecher and three sisters Kathleen Beecher, Marsha Beecher and Shannon (Brad) Rettig.

Please keep us in your prayers as we learn to live without our precious Mike.

I am grateful to have met such a gracious, loving, caring, and good man. There was never a day that Mike did not come into my office and say “hey Dean (after a solid fist bump) are you being a good man? Are you doing right by your wife and children? Mike always made sure my priorities were headed in the right direction.

I loved him and will miss him dearly. I will always be thankful for the times we shared. Go with god my brother!

Mike was a great coworker and friend! He concocted one of the tastiest Buffalo hot sauces that I ever had. I would constantly ask him what ingredients he used to make but everything was always top secret. I use to always joke that I was going to send a sample of it off to lab and find out all the ingredients. He would always follow up with “Logs, you wouldn’t do that to me!”. I am going to miss his joyful presence and great conversations! Love you, Beech!

I will miss Mike and his ever-present cup of black coffee, his perfect snap salute, his knuckle-crushing fist bumps, his hot sauce (and the way he kept the recipe a closely guarded secret), his helpful nature and his fun outlook. Knowing Mike made life better. Thank you for that, Mike. Love you, Beech!!

Mike was a very special pal, introduced to me b y my very special and loving friend, Elaine. Every time I asked Elaine how can I fix something, I”ll ask Mike.” Every part of my house has Mike’s fingerprints on it. My American flag that blows and waves in the wind was put up by Mike just a month before his passing. That is very special for me. I shall always honor Mike and Elaine for their goodness, their unequalled trust in G-D, for their generosity in trust, friendship and spirit. Bless their children who are as loving, good, spiritual… Read more »
