I didn’t know her very well but she and Gene raised an amazing daughter, Megan, that I had the pleasure of coaching for her enitre high school soccer career. She was a strong player and a great student as a result of her parents who were very supportive and encouraging.

Loriel and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Gainesville. We drifted apart after High School. Loriel: a wonderful, caring, loving, generous friend. A friend who I should have strived to kept better in touch with. Life gets too busy at times. Life should never get so busy that you neglect the ones that mean so much to you. What a wonderful Mother and Wife. I know this because I knew her. She always laughed, always. I’ve only seen her angry when someone was disrespecting another. Loriel was my high school classmate and we had the same friends we ran around with for a couple of our years there at GHS. I did see her at every HS Reunion and she help me start the 30th and also helped with our 40th. I’m very sad to hear she departed us but know she is in a better place now and making room for another reunion. My God be with her and her family. I am blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace my dear friend. Ronny Fort

Loriel and I were in Brownies together as well classes from grade school to high school. I’m stunned that she is gone. Such a lovely person. What a lovely smile, great laugh and treasured friend. She also had such a great voice. While we were able to keep in touch some, I was looking forward to many more moments. My condolences to all and particularly to Gene, Megan and Kiley. May Loriel’s love sustain you always.
