Grant Louis Raulerson, 88, of Clearwater, Florida passed away June 15, 2018. Born in Griffin, Florida, Mr. Raulerson was married to the love of his life, Genevieve for 56 years until her passing in 2012. A loving father of six children, he is survived by 5 children, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great-granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mr. Raulerson was an active member of the Clearwater community and ran several successful businesses, including movie theatres and an international import-export business. He was also a founding member of the Sister City Program in Clearwater and served in various civic clubs in both Clearwater and Largo. He was an active fundraiser to build St. Cecelia Catholic Church and School expansion, and Clearwater Central Catholic High School; He served as the Founder and first Band Director at CCC. He was a driving force for High School and Youth Soccer in Clearwater.
A professional jazz drummer, his band won many local, state and national competitions, Mr. Raulerson along with local businessmen, hosted jazz concerts at the old Jack Tarr Ft. Harrison Hotel. He was a founder of and played in the very first Clearwater Jazz Holiday.
He served with honor and distinction in the Korean War in the 53th Combat Engineers. He as a champion for veterans as a member of the VFW in Largo and Clearwater, past Commander of the DAV Clearwater Chapter, and Service Officer for Korean War Veterans Association, Suncoast Chapter 14.

Military Memorial Service: at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Friday June 29th at 3:00 pm
