Edna Gloria Kruger Goudy passed away on July 27, 2021 at Hospice Woodside Care Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. in 1927, being the youngest and last surviving of 7 siblings born to Edna and Elmer Kruger. After WWII was over she married Edward C. Goudy Sr. of Philadelphia and was his beloved wife for 74 years of marriage. They had two sons, Edward, Jr. of Kennett Square, PA. & Robert Paul of The Villages, FL. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Douglas, Jenifer, Matthew, and Gregory along with 5 great grandchildren, Alexia, Aidan, Madeline, Isabelle and Warren.
Through the course of her life she worked part time at several different retail stores in the Wilmington, DE. area. She and Edward, Sr. retired to Florida in 1981 and eventually moved into the Mainlands in Pinellas Park where she loved living. She lived a very active adult life participating in playing Bingo, Pinochle, Bowling, weekly dining out and attending Tampa Bay baseball games with her many community friends. She also served on the BOD for the community HOA. She enjoyed going out with her Sisters every Sunday for lunch, shopping and an occasional movie. She and Edward also enjoyed traveling to many various locations and visiting with family during their retirement and when there was free time enjoyed filling it with reading a book.
On occasion she stated, in quotation " WE'VE LIVED A WONDERFUL LIFE". She will be remembered fondly and loved by her family and dear friends.
It was her desire for her final resting place to be buried with her husband by her mother and father at a gravesite in the Philadelphia area. A Private Family Service will take place at Graveside at a future date.
