David Dumais

David Joseph Dumais, 59, of Largo FL., died Thursday, June 3, 2021.  He was born on August 15th in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Aldor T. and Violet L. (Roberge) Dumais; sisters, Gloria Dumais and Stella Pamula; and brother, Marcel Dumais.

David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diana; son, Brian (Chelsea) Dumais of North Ridgeville, Ohio; daughter, Laurie Dumais of Clayton, Georgia; daughter, Julie Anna (Tim) Schorling of Seminole, Florida; and two precious grandchildren, Joey and Annie Schorling; brother, Aldor Dumais, Jr. of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; sister, Joanne (Roger) Milot of Springhill, FL; sister, Marcella (Doug) Randall of Apollo Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

David was a loving and faithful husband, proud dad and Papaw, a kind brother, a thoughtful son-in-law, uncle and nephew. He loved his big family. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and taking trips to the mountains.  David loved to drive trucks and worked for Better Business Forms in Largo, FL for over 30 years as a truck driver and more recently for the Louise Graham Regeneration Center.  For more than 25 years he spent countless weekends serving as the volunteer bus mechanic and driver for Pinellas Park Baptist Temple’s bus ministry. Many children came to know Jesus because of David’s faithfulness.  He was currently a member of Seminole First Baptist Church. He was a quiet man who had a big heart for others.  He preferred to serve others quietly in the background of life and did not like recognition. David was thoughtful in that if he saw someone had a need, he would take care of the need without anyone knowing. He had a great sense of humor, was full of pranks on his family, and was quick witted.  He was known for his dad jokes, and his photo bombing antics were legendary.

His celebration of life service will be on Saturday, June 12th at Seminole First Baptist Church at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up by Keswick Christian School.  https://bit.ly/3g1gGWc

Seminole First Baptist Church is located at 11045 Park Blvd., Seminole, FL. 33772

No words can ever come close to being the perfect words to say in this situation. Your family is so loved and prayed for. Thankful for Jesus’ abundant love for us, and His work on the cross to bring us back to Him. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul, and I am looking forward to seeing this brother in Christ again one day when I go Home too.

Love and blessings,

Dave was a great man. I considered him a good friend, I don’t think he would have had it any other way. I feel honored to have know him, and will miss his wonderful humor. We’ll miss him dearly.

It was a special memory for us when you came to our church and then we went to lunch together at Chili’s! We laughed and had the sweetest time. This is a beautiful tribute to your sweet man. Yes, he is with his Savior. You are loved Diana. You will always be a special friend.❤️ Kayla
