Carol Fabrizio

Carol Fabrizio, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, departed her family on Friday, Oct. 30, a month past her 80th birthday.

Carol was born on Sept. 13, 1940 in The Bronx, New York, She moved to Florida, where she married her husband, Ron, and started a family that would eventually include six children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She and Ron were married for 61 years.

Family was Carol’s life and joy. She took care of everyone and made it look easy, even when it wasn’t, and she never got upset about the little things. In fact, some of her favorite things were simple pleasures like Mickey Mouse pajamas and watching the birds toil in the birdbath in the backyard. She was a fabulous cook who made her family smile with her homemade pizza, apple pie and many other dishes.

Carol was a devout Catholic and a true example of the love of Jesus Christ. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Pinellas Park and loved getting together with friends after Mass at Panera Bread. She was charitable and kind and volunteered her time by cleaning the church. She also worked for many years and retired from Kash n’ Karry grocery stores.

Carol is preceded in death by son, Gregory. She is survived by husband Ron, sons Paul (Lourdes Lulu), Steven and Chris; daughters Therese (Mike) and Debra; grandchildren Gregory Jr., Timothy, Johnathon, Megan, Kara, Katelynn, Jon Paul and Nina; and great grandchild Gianna.

Memorial Mass: at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday November 14th at 11:00 am with Msgr. Robert Morris from St. Catherine of Siena, Celebrant

Interment: to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is located at: 4661 82nd Ave. N., Pinellas Park, FL 33781.

What a beautiful FAMILY What a beautiful LIFE What a beautiful PERSON. Now you have an Angel watching over you. I only met Carol a couple times felt like I knew her forever. She was so full of life and so kind. She loved her family I felt so much love around them. She had to be an amazing person and Mother to raise a daughter like Debra. May Carol Rest In Peace and May she always be in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love Marreen

What a beautiful soul! You mom left a legacy of a really caring and lovely family and will watch over all of you. I know when you reach out to her she will still send her love and help until you see her again. God bless you all! I am so glad we are friends I love you all.

You will always be a never ending song in my heart. I’ll miss you more than words can ever say. You encouraged me to follow my dreams and stood by me every step of the way. I still remember all those times you sat with me during my voice lessons after a long hard days work. You always supported me and never missed a single one of my productions. You never complained or showed pain when I knew you were suffering. You sacrificed and worked hard so all six of us could have a Catholic education because you knew how… Read more »

I will miss your calm, smooth demeanor, Aunt Carol, along with your sage advice on everything from simple food tips to marriage, to finances. I could always reach out and know you would steer me in the right direction. You inevitably would call me again later to add more advice that was helpful. In short, you cared. You were unstoppable when it came to taking care of your loved ones and a great example of how to live unselfishly. And let’s not forget that no one could make cold spaghetti salad like yours. I love you, and I will see… Read more »

My heart is heavy at the loss of Aunt Carol. I’m sad at her early passing and angry at the way it happened. She had many years left and they were stolen from her. I pray justice will be served. She meant a lot to me growing up. She always showed love to everyone, had a wonderful disposition and could cook like a 5 star chef. Going over her home was always a highlight in my life. Uncle Ronnie would crack jokes and she’d laugh and roll her eyes. I’m going to miss her. My prayer for her family is… Read more »

Mom, what I’ll miss most about you is how kind you were to everyone. You wanted everyone to feel as if they were a part of your family. Although I wish you would have a little more, you never put yourself first. Family, friends and even strangers were always a priority. You’ve made it easy to pass this quality on to my sons and I know Timothy will pass this on to his son. Thank you for instilling such strong Catholic beliefs, with these I’m comforted in knowing God has gained an Angel. I love you Mom.

My mom was an admirable person and someone who I looked up to. While we were all busy, including my mom, it never ceased to impress me how she always managed to have time for all of us kids, her grandchildren, family, and neighbors. She always cherished spending time with the family. She was very active and always strived to help anyone who was in need. My mother made sure that family came first, and she always placed her needs last. While raising six kids, she worked full time, kept the house organized and clean, cooked delicious homemade meals, and… Read more »

Dear Carol, I spoke to you just a few days before you left us. It was a good conversation like we have had through the years full of advise and encouragement. It’s sad to know we will never talk again. We have been friends since I was twelve years old when you first arrived in Florida to marry Ronnie so many years ago. Those beginning years are filled with many memories with Vince, Lou, and Flo. It was so much fun and an honor when you asked me to be your Maid of Honor at your wedding. You have joined… Read more »

Mom, I miss you so much! You were the rock that held this family together. When ever we all had a problem, we went to you for advice and you told it like it was. No matter what happened, good or bad you never gave up on any of us. You were always right there for us when we needed you. I am so lost without you, and I am going to miss all times that we would text each other, and all the phone calls we had, I have always looked forward to hearing your voice. Especially because I… Read more »

Carol, we met many years ago through Jim & Cindy Pearson and we so fortunate to have gone on many cruises together. I will always cherish those special times. You were always so happy and loved your family so much. And after our 2 cruise we realized I went to school with your Daughter Therese.
We had some really great trips and think about them often. I know your family will have a difficult time as I just lost my Mom and know what they are going through.
Prayers and thoughts to Ron and the Fabrizio family

Carol lived a fulfilling life, a life full of Christ like qualities. Carol’s memories will live on in her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter and in the many hearts she touched. Carol’s daughter Debra is one of the most giving, kindhearted people I know and her mother, Carol, was much the same. May peace and comfort be with the extended members of the Fabrizio family.
