Barbara Hawley

Barbara Jean Hawley, 78, of Seminole, passed away Oct. 24, 2019 at Largo Medical Center. Mrs. Hawley was born in Clearfield, PA. and is survived by her husband of 61 years, John; son, Kevin, Pinellas Park; daughter, Kimberly, Largo; sister, Sally, OH.; brother, Gerald, MI.; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. Barbara moved from PA. with her family and settled in IN. when she was a young girl. Indiana is where she and John met when both were teenagers. They dated for 2 years and wed in 1958. In 1968 the family moved to FL. for the warmer climate. Barbara liked to dance, and on Friday & Saturday she would be on a dance floor somewhere. Now she is dancing in Heaven with angels and watching her friends dancing on earth.


A Memorial Service will be held in Her Honor: at Taylor Funeral Home on Sat. Nov. 9th at Noon.

I have been blessed to have known Barbara for four years and will always remember her kindness and willingness to help (and do the right thing!) for our H2U Wellness Group at Northside. She will be dearly missed. We wish John and the entire Hawley family peace and comfort during this very sad time.

Roger and I enjoyed visiting with Barbara and John at Soggy Bottom Bluegrass Bunch once a month. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for her family.

Barbara’s Celebration of her Life yesterday was an in-depth insight as to the person she was. I remember trying to plan a movie afternoon with the girls. She said “can John come”. Of course. Southern Knights played 158 after she passed. I cannot express my sorrow when I walked in & her and John were not there. Mustang Sally will never play again without saying a prayer for her. Miz Barb. you were always helping (along with you, John!) at all our Soggy Bottom Bluegrass Bunch club events! I will miss your sweet smile and happy face so very much!
